THE PERFECT STORM BY PLANET BLUE X ORACLE FOX

One of our fave go-to fashion retailers here in sunny LA, Planet Blue reveals their new swimwear lookbook “The Perfect Storm.” Mimi Elashiry stars in the beautiful editorial imagery, styled in cute bikini styles from the retailer’s Blue Life line. 

PB reaches out to Australian blogger Oracle Fox for styling, as well as capturing a more mellow and chill side of this upcoming beach season. Hair and makeup by Nadine Monley.

The photographer and founder of Oracle Fox taks about the shooting of the lookbook :”When I started talking to Planet Blue about shooting this campaign, we noticed that our beautiful model, Mimi, drew some similarities to the young and beautiful Brooke Shields in the movie Blue Lagoon. After doing some preliminary research and viewing some imagery from the movie, I became really inspired by the romantic notion of being swept onto a beach on a deserted island. I love to use props to tell a story in my shoots so the S.O.S theme was super fun to incorporate a Blue Lagoon /S.O.S twist. This is what also inspired the message in the bottle that reads “Save Our Souls”. The S.O.S drawn into the sand created an overall vibe of a beautiful isolation which has married in well with “The Perfect Storm”.
