Chanel Celebrates 10 Years in Sin City with Rachel Zoe, Jessica Alba
The timeless fashion house parties Vegas style!
On Friday morning, Chanel chartered a fleet of private jets to fly a carefully selected mix of stylish bold-faced names from New York and Los Angeles to Las Vegas for an over-the-top weekend in Sin City to celebrate the opening of the French fashion house’s ten-day Numéros Privés installation at the Wynn Hotel. Guests gathered promptly at 7:00 p.m. at the entrance to the ten-room installation for cocktails.
Flawless in their Chanel looks, Jessica Alba, Lily Collins, Diane Kruger, Poppy Delevingne,and Dree Hemingway all filed in past an elegant beaded white curtain (a nod to Coco’s love of pearls). Aptly named Numéros Privés, each space focused on a different part of the label, often the iconic numbers associated with the brand. The first was a bedroom celebrating the Lagerfeld era and complete with dolls and sketches designed by the fashion icon.
In another room, video screens displayed the production process of the 2.55 handbag, and the next was a recreation of Coco’s apartment at 31 Rue Cambon and a display of haute couture gowns. At the end of the walk-through, guests were met by two claw arcade games with wrapped Chanel prizes inside—ranging from nail polish to fine jewelry—that almost stole the show as guests lined up to try their hand at taking home a big prize. Post viewing and gaming, a dim sum dinner of dumplings, lobster, and other delicacies was served just in time for Chinese New Year. Alexa Chung took control of the tunes, which eventually gave way to jazz and rockabilly musician Imelda May joining her band onstage for their performance. Afterwards, the festivities moved to 1OAK . . . where the real dancing began.
You know you’re in for a dazzling night when Chanel’s name occupies the top of the invite—and true to form, the legendary French house spared no expense with the launch party for Numeros Prives, an eight-day exhibition at Wynn Las Vegas. The five-star hotel scored the high-profile event not only for its posh setting, but also because you’ll find two Chanel boutiques between Wynn and its adjacent sister resort, Encore (though the opening this week of its third Sin City location, at nearby Bellagio, was another key reason for the celebration).
They say that in the fashion world, it's all about who you know, but a cursory glance at the guest list for Chanel's lavish Las Vegas party on Saturday night, while confirming this maxim, also suggests that who you are related to goes a hell of a long way too.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or you don’t follow any fashion people on Twitter), you know that Chanel has made quite a splash in Las Vegas lately. Not only did the brand debut a lavish invite-only exhibition called Numéros Privés at the Wynn Las Vegas over the weekend, but yesterday, Chanel celebrated the grand reopening of its exquisite Bellagio boutique.

The bags, all variations on the brand’s much-lauded Classic Flap, have a little bit of extra sparkle to them that feels right at home when discussing Sin City.
