I agree that Miami, the city of tight skirts, massive cleavage, and cheestastic clubs hasn't exactly had a reputation for class ! But with Art Basel, concept shops like the Webster, and a number of modern hotels, Miami has become more Sophisticate.

SOHO BEACH HOUSE is a members-only club, just like its fellow Houses in L.A., New York, London and Berlin... The house comprises a hotel, spa, a hair salon 'PRIVE salon" managed by french hairdressers, a beach club with beds and a venetian restaurant, Cecconi's...

This is just crazy ... with just 50 rooms designed by Martin Brudnizki, the House is open only to Soho House members and hotel guests and the use of cameras and cell phones is forbidden in the property’s gathering places.

Soho House founder Nick Jones, is the presiding genius, convincing locals to pony up around 1800$ for an annual membership to hang with the folks they already know, and those they want to know !
