BON APPETIT
Friend of Mine's 'Smokey Rolls' Lookbook Styled By Alexandra Spencer
Melbourne-based label Friend of Mine ups the ante with its Spring 2011 collection, Smokey Rolls. Inspired by 1970s bohemia in California’s Topanga Valley, the ‘Bianca Jagger jet setting to St Tropez’ vibe manifests in hedonistic combinations of crisp white and gold. Vintage vibes can also be seen in key pieces like paisley print pants, cornflower blue overalls, kimono coats and jumpsuits. It never remains too serious though, with Friend of Mine’s irreverent attitude coming through in the form of emblazoned t-shirts like “you’ve got to be shirting me” and the slightly rude Moschino-esque
“bon appetit” belt.
Model turned blogger Alexandra Spencer (from 4th and Bleeker) plays the role of stylist / creative director and you can see her personal style injected in this campaign, which was shot in LA.
A tall beanie and a see-through lace dress? Classic Alex.
